We are hiring a Warehouse Coordinator in Austin, Texas, to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. This key role involves coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, managing inventory levels, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods, and maintaining a high standard of safety and organization. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain principles. You will be responsible for optimizing warehouse processes to improve productivity and reduce costs. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement within our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct warehouse personnel in daily tasks.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and storage strategies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, conducting regular audits and cycle counts.
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics partners.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse safety and security.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management and control techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or GED required; further education or certification is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment, including ensuring the correct use of PPE.
