About
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing customer orders, ensuring that all items are handled with care and efficiency. Your primary goal will be to contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse by preparing orders for shipment in a timely manner. This position requires a high level of focus and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial part in our supply chain operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify product quantities and descriptions against order details.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment setting is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Familiarity with scanning technology.
- Commitment to safety and following guidelines.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE.
This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. We prioritize safety and provide training on proper lifting techniques and the use of necessary PPE to ensure a secure working environment.
