Position Purpose
The Senior Digital Analytics Manager owns the behavioral analytics layer, governs the event taxonomy, and translates digital behavior into a clear, actionable understanding of what drives performance throughout the Bank. The role partners deeply with UX, Dev, Product Marketing, Email, and Acquisition to identify issues early, prioritize improvements, and accelerate optimization cycles across all lines of business.
Position Responsibilities
This role directly improves how Capital Bank grows, operates, and makes decisions by:
Increasing revenue and application volume by identifying funnel friction and driving continuous optimization
Improving marketing efficiency by revealing which channels, messages, and experiences produce the highest-value customers
Strengthening P&L clarity by linking digital behavior to approvals, losses, payback, and long-term value
Accelerating speed-to-insight through consistent, trustworthy dashboards and automated reporting
Giving leadership a clear, unified view of performance across all digital properties and teams
The role will be responsible for the following:
1. Build and Own the Digital Data Foundation
Lead the transition from GA4 to an
Amplitude-first measurement ecosystem
Define and maintain the
enterprise event taxonomy , KPIs, and data standards across all web properties
Partner with developers for
event instrumentation, GTM governance, and tagging fixes
Establish a proactive QA process to ensure tracking accuracy before launches
Document tracking logic, event definitions, and end-to-end measurement frameworks
2. Turn Behavior into Decisions
Analyze funnels, journeys, and cohorts to identify where users struggle and what drives conversion
Connect behavioral data in Amplitude with
performance data Snowflake
to size opportunities
Build dashboards that explain
what happened, why it happened, and what to do next
Write clear, concise insight summaries that guide actions - not just describe data
3. Lead Experimentation & Continuous Optimization
Own the analytics side of A/B testing : event setup, KPIs, hypotheses, and success thresholds
Partner across UX, Marketing, and Product to design meaningful tests grounded in behavior
Monitor experiments through completion, validate significance, and report business impact
Translate learnings into the next set of improvements or test iterations
4. Coach and Partner Across Teams
Help non-analysts understand funnel performance, segment behavior, and test results
Serve as the go-to analytics partner for leadership, product marketers, acquisition teams, and designers
Influence roadmaps by highlighting the highest-value digital opportunities
Create repeatable processes for insight action measurement across all LOBs
5. Drive Continuous Improvement
Recommend new integrations, automations, or data quality enhancements
Stay current on analytics best practices, privacy updates, and evolving platform capabilities
Proactively surface opportunities before they impact performance - not after
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
7-10+ years in digital analytics, product analytics, or experimentation
Agency or startup experience desired.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Deep experience with Amplitude (or similar), GA4, FullStory, and Google Tag Manager
Skilled at defining event tracking requirements and partnering with developers to implement them
Strong knowledge of funnel analysis, behavioral segmentation, attribution, and statistical testing
Exceptional communicator who can translate insights into clear business actions
Comfortable in a hands-on role that blends strategy, execution, and cross-functional partnership
Experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft office software suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Other
Ability to travel within a defined market area.
Compensation
Base Salary Range:
$115,000 - $150,000 annually (Rockville, MD salary range). Final determination of where you are at in the salary range is based on numerous factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, skill set, education, and ability to meet qualifications within the job description.
We are hiring in:
MD, DC, VA, PA, DE, NC, SC, FL, IN, IL.
Candidates in other locations will receive the pay range tied to their specific area.
Additional Compensation:
This role will include a yearly annual target bonus based on individual performance
