About
We are looking for a diligent and physically capable Material Handler to join our operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution center. You will be responsible for moving, sorting, and organizing materials and products within the facility. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. Your contribution ensures that our logistics operations run seamlessly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using manual and powered equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
- Sort and organize inventory according to established procedures.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring accurate counts and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, free from hazards.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform regular checks on equipment and report any issues.
- Support inventory control efforts, including cycle counts and stock verification.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs consistently.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
- Must be willing to use all required PPE.
