Your responsibilities will include the safe and efficient operation of forklifts for loading, unloading, moving, and stacking inventory. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Move and stack inventory to optimize warehouse space.
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any defects.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Keep the work area clean and organized, promoting a safe environment.
- Follow proper lifting techniques for handling materials.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse team in achieving operational goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding tasks and potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse setting.
- Certification for operating various types of forklifts is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
