Job Summary:
We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate for our facility in Des Moines, Iowa. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods through our logistics network. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in various warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping orders. We emphasize safety in all our operations, and you will be required to follow all safety protocols and utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires a high level of physical activity, including frequent lifting and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders using RF scanners and other equipment.
  • Stage products for shipment and load delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning and storage procedures.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Follow all lifting guidelines and best practices to ensure personal safety.
  • Collaborate with other team members to meet daily logistics goals.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse technology such as RF scanners.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Flexible availability, including potential overtime as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
