About The Role The Cloud DevOps Engineer, Sr Analyst role at Accenture offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based DevOps solutions. This position requires a highly skilled professional with deep technical expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, as well as extensive experience in automation, infrastructure‑as‑code, and continuous delivery practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to promote DevOps culture, streamline deployment pipelines, and enhance operational efficiency. This role involves engaging with clients to deliver tailored DevOps strategies, supporting their digital transformation journeys, and ensuring the reliability and security of cloud environments. The position is based in Birmingham, UK, and offers a competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
Associate‑level cloud certification in Azure or AWS.
Hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, including compute, networking, storage, and security services in Azure and AWS environments.
Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform.
Experience with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, Maven, and UrbanCode.
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, and Shell scripting.
Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including secret management and privilege controls.
Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow and Agile methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearances, including BPSS and SC, which require a minimum of five years of continuous UK residence.
Responsibilities
Leading the implementation and management of DevOps tools and processes across multiple projects, ensuring best practices are followed.
Collaborating with development and operations teams to establish and optimize continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines.
Designing and deploying scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions in Azure and AWS.
Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical guidance on automation, security, and cloud‑native architecture.
Driving the adoption of DevOps culture within client organizations, including training and mentoring teams on new tools and methodologies.
Managing the operation of development and test environments, including configuration management and version control processes.
Developing dashboards and visualisations using Power BI to monitor deployment metrics, cost trends, incident volumes, and SLA performance.
Supporting incident resolution and troubleshooting, providing on‑call support outside of standard hours when necessary.
Staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices through continuous learning and certifications.
