We are seeking an Intermediate E-PLAN Electrical Design Technician with strong technical proficiency, solid industry experience, and the collaborative mindset required for multidisciplinary project environments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in E-PLAN Electric P8, demonstrates an advanced understanding of electrical design standards, and can contribute to complexity automation, control systems, and power distribution projects.
The successful candidate will engage with Electrical engineering teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality electrical deliverables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and terminal plans using E-PLAN Electric P8.
- Generate complete project drawing packages: device tagging, cable schedules, loop diagrams, I/O lists, PLC interface diagrams, and as-built documentation.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM), panel assembly drawings, wire numbering schemes, and device selection lists.
- Incorporate global standards such as IEC, NEC, NFPA 70/79, and UL508A into all design activities.
- Utilize E-PLAN Pro Panel for 3D panel layout (if required), including component placement, enclosure design, and heat dissipation considerations.
- Update E-Plan drawings based on redlines, field modifications, and commissioning feedback.
Project Support & Coordination:
- Collaborate with automation, Electrical teams to ensure design alignment and constructability.
- Participate in design reviews and coordinate with suppliers, panel shops, and system integrators.
- Provide technical support during panel fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting activities.
Quality, Standards & Compliance:
- Ensure designs comply with client specifications, industry codes, and internal quality procedures.
- Maintain drawing libraries, macros, templates, device data, and standardized workflows within the E-PLAN environment in the company office server.
- Support continuous improvement efforts through standardization, optimization, and integration of E-PLAN advanced modules.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Electromechanics, or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of experience in electrical design using E-PLAN Electric P8 - REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, control panels, motor control, PLC I/O, VFDs, instrumentation, power distribution, and industrial automation components.
- Knowledge of panel fabrication, wiring methods, grounding, cable routing, and safety standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel) for BOM management, cost tracking, and documentation control.

REQUIRED / ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
- E-PLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) license
- Additional E-PLAN training (Electric P8 Advanced, Pro Panel, E-PLAN Data Portal).
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.

- Verification of employment history, technical responsibilities, and project experience.
- Reference checks with previous supervisors, project leads.
- Validation of E-PLAN certifications and engineering credentials.
- Review of design portfolio for quality, completeness, and adherence to standards.
- Additional checks (criminal, credit, or compliance screening) based on company policy and industry requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
