About

Sylvane is a leading ecommerce retailer focused on improving indoor air quality and comfort through best-in-class dehumidifiers, air purifiers, HVAC solutions, and more. We help customers create healthier homes and workplaces—and we're growing fast. We're looking for a data-driven CRO Manager to accelerate that growth by optimizing the shopping experience and increasing conversion across the entire funnel. About the Role We are seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Manager who will own the strategy, execution, and performance of conversion improvements across Sylvane.com. This is a highly cross-functional role spanning UX, analytics, experimentation, and design. You will analyze customer behavior, develop hypotheses, run A/B tests, collaborate with designers/developers, and implement solutions that increase revenue and customer satisfaction. You should be equally strong in quantitative analysis (GA4, Shopify Analytics, Power BI) and qualitative discovery (user feedback, heatmaps, UX audits). Key Responsibilities Strategy, Roadmap & CRO Ownership Define and evolve Sylvane's CRO strategy and roadmap across the entire website and customer funnel (homepage, category pages, product-detail pages, cart, checkout, landing pages, etc.). Identify conversion bottlenecks and friction points through quantitative data (analytics, BI dashboards, funnel analysis) and qualitative/user-experience data (user feedback, session recordings, heatmaps, surveys, usability testing). Prioritize optimization and testing initiatives based on expected business impact, traffic volume, and resource requirements (effort vs. reward). Testing & Experimentation Design, implement, and manage rigorous A/B and multivariate tests (on product pages, landing pages, checkout flows, site forms, etc.). Develop clear test hypotheses informed by data, UX best practices, and user behavior; define success metrics and statistical validity criteria (sample size, duration, significance thresholds, etc.). Run and monitor experiments using industry-standard testing tools/platforms. Analyze test results, draw insights about user behavior, and determine winning variants — followed by rollout of winning changes or further iteration. Document all test plans, results, learnings, and best practices. UX & Design Collaboration Collaborate with UX/UI Designers (or create own wireframes/mockups) to create and test new designs, layout variations, and UI/UX improvements. Work with developers and IT to implement test variants and permanent UX improvements while ensuring technical quality, site performance, accessibility, and brand consistency. Optimize for mobile and desktop experiences, ensuring responsive design and smooth user journeys across devices. Data, Analytics & Reporting Use analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Shopify Analytics, Power BI) to build dashboards, visualize user journeys and funnel performance, and monitor conversion metrics. Analyze traffic sources, segmentation, device type, and campaign attribution to understand how different audiences convert and where to target optimizations. Conduct deep-dive analyses (cohort analysis, segment analysis, funnel drop-off analysis) to detect trends, anomalies, and opportunities. Regularly report results and business impact (conversion lift, incremental revenue, ROI, KPIs) to stakeholders across marketing, merchandising, and leadership teams. Personalization & Segmentation Develop and run personalization experiments: tailored messaging, offers, promotions, and site experiences based on user behavior, traffic source, device, or user segment. Work with marketing and merchandising to align segmented campaigns with landing pages or site experiences to maximize conversion and average order value (AOV). Cross-Functional Leadership & Culture Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, IT/Development, and Analytics teams to align CRO strategy with business goals, marketing campaigns, and product initiatives. Build and evangelize best practices, processes, standards, and documentation around CRO, testing, analytics, and user-centered design. Drive a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making across the organization. Qualifications Required 3–6+ years of experience in CRO, UX optimization, or ecommerce optimization Demonstrated experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B or multivariate tests, with clear business or revenue impact. Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Shopify Analytics, Power BI) and data-driven decision-making. Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, web usability, mobile and desktop UX best practices. Basic familiarity with web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) — enough to communicate effectively with developers and understand implementation constraints. Excellent communication and collaboration skills — able to work cross-functionally, present findings to stakeholders, and build consensus. Preferred / Nice-to-Have: Experience with Shopify (ideally Shopify Plus) or other ecommerce platforms. Experience with heat-mapping, session recording, user testing, and other qualitative UX research tools (e.g., Hotjar, FullStory, user testing platforms). Familiarity with segmentation and personalization techniques. Experience in a product-heavy / technical-product ecommerce business (e.g., HVAC, appliances). Some hands-on design experience — including wireframing, prototyping, or UI layout creation. The CRO Manager will be managing design work via freelance designers and/or producing lightweight design deliverables directly. Why Join Us? Hybrid Flexibility: Work remotely Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. In-office days are Mondays and Thursdays at our Roswell office near the Mansell exit of 400. Health and Wellness: Health, dental, and vision insurance. 4 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) plus paid holidays. Retirement: Company match retirement plan. Company stability with 25+ years in business with a commitment to growth. Culture: Fun company outings and luncheons. Our core values are Innovation, Integrity, Dedication, Teamwork, and Work-Life Balance.
