Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our hospitality and food service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service across all departments. A background in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality is essential to successfully drive our team towards operational excellence. We are looking for someone who has prior Restaurant General Manager Experience, preferably from Popeyes.
Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating team members to foster a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to company policies and standards.
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Supervise food handling, cooking, serving, and barista activities to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of food and beverage supplies.
- Enforce health and safety regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Develop staff schedules, oversee training programs including food safety protocols, and ensure proper kitchen operations.
- Address customer concerns promptly to enhance guest experience and foster loyalty.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that complies with all health codes and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service environment with strong team management capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of food industry practices including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures.
- Proficiency with POS systems; cash handling experience is required.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Experience in restaurant management including interviewing candidates, training staff, and overseeing daily operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations to ensure compliance across all areas of operation.
- Background in hotel or hospitality industry is a MUST; restaurant management experience is essential.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts professionally.
