You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing materials for shipment, ensuring efficient flow throughout the facility. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. Key duties include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and organizing inventory. You will also assist with inventory control, ensuring accurate records and efficient use of space. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and moving of heavy items, so physical capability is a must. We provide comprehensive training on equipment operation and emphasize the importance of Safety, requiring the consistent use of appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials to ensure proper storage.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Inspect equipment for defects before and after use.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or forklift operator is required.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 60 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
