About
Our Austin, Texas facility is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage the inflow of goods. This crucial role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and processed promptly. You will be responsible for verifying delivery manifests against received items, identifying any damages or shortages, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments. A keen eye for detail and proficiency in data entry are essential. The ideal candidate will contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations by maintaining precise inventory records. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, and discrepancies.
- Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Process returns and resolve any issues with incoming shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate effectively with shipping departments, vendors, and other internal teams.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as directed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some Lifting.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Willingness to follow all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
