Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and shipping.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse operational strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure accurate inventory management, including cycle counts and stocktaking.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a culture of performance and safety.
- Enforce all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Manage the use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse operational performance.
- Resolve any operational issues or conflicts that arise.
- Oversee the proper handling of goods, including any necessary Lifting and moving of materials.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role within a logistics environment.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices, including the use of PPE.
- Physical ability to oversee warehouse operations, which may include occasional Lifting.
