Join our bustling New York City, New York warehouse as a Material Handler ! This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics processes. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including moving, organizing, and managing materials within the warehouse. This includes receiving incoming goods, transporting them to designated storage areas, and preparing outgoing shipments. You will operate manual and powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to facilitate the movement of inventory. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety are crucial. This position requires physical stamina, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds. Mandatory use of PPE , such as safety vests and steel-toed boots, is required to ensure your well-being. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials
- Transport materials to and from designated areas
- Load and unload trucks and containers
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed
- Operate warehouse equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse setting
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to wear required PPE
