You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including receiving inventory, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. A critical aspect of this role is maintaining a safe working environment. Strict adherence to all company safety regulations and the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE ) are mandatory. The position requires physical dexterity and stamina, involving frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming inventory against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on customer orders and sales slips.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipping, ensuring product integrity.
- Prepare shipments for carriers, including affixing labels and staging orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Comply with all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Wear all required PPE , including but not limited to safety shoes, vests, and eye protection.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and general logistics operations is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and following all guidelines.
- Experience operating various warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be willing and able to wear and use all required PPE .
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
