About the Role We are seeking an experienced
IT Support Engineer
to provide reliable, on‑site technical support in
Ullapool . This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with
1.5+ years of IT support experience
who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting users, and maintaining IT systems in a local working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide
Level 1 / Level 2 IT support
to end users
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Support Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals
Manage user accounts and access via
Active Directory / Microsoft 365
Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment
Log and resolve tickets in line with SLAs
Escalate complex issues to senior IT teams when required
Maintain basic IT documentation and asset records
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1.5+ years of hands‑on experience
in an IT Support / Helpdesk / Desktop Support role
Strong working knowledge of:
Windows 10/11
Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive)
Basic networking (LAN/Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP – foundational level)
Strong troubleshooting and customer‑service skills
Ability to work independently in an on‑site role
Clear communication and a proactive mindset
Preferred / Advantageous
Experience with
Active Directory
user administration
Basic exposure to Windows Server environments
IT certifications such as
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
Experience supporting users in small offices or remote locations
Education
Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
Equivalent professional experience will be considered
