We are hiring a motivated Warehouse Worker to join our busy team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of our logistics and distribution center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and unloading goods, stocking shelves, picking and packing orders, and preparing items for shipment. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is a top priority, and we expect all employees to adhere to safety regulations and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Accurately stock shelves and designated storage areas.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including consistent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Physical Demands:
This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. Employees must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Safety is paramount, and the use of PPE is required.
