Join our team as an Inventory Clerk in Huntsville, Alabama, and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This position is responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, and investigating and resolving discrepancies. You will utilize our inventory management system to record movements of goods, ensure proper storage, and assist in maintaining an organized stockroom. A keen eye for detail and a systematic approach are vital for success in this role. Your contributions will directly support our logistics operations by providing reliable inventory data. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Record inventory movements, adjustments, and discrepancies in the inventory management system.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Assist in receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
- Proficiency with inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting as required.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and the use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
This position requires a strong understanding of inventory control principles and their impact on overall logistics. Maintaining accurate records and performing accurate cycle counts are critical functions. You must be diligent in following safety guidelines and utilizing required PPE. While not as physically demanding as some roles, some Lifting will be required.
