Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Nashville, Tennessee facility. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventories, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management systems and logistics operations. You will work closely with warehouse and operations teams to reconcile inventory records and improve stockroom efficiency. Maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are top priorities. This position requires proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and reporting. Regular lifting may be necessary to access and verify inventory. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
  • Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
  • Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
  • Generate inventory reports and analyze stock levels.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and report on obsolete or slow-moving stock.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse/logistics role. Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
