We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our Fort Worth, Texas facility. This role is vital for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse, ensuring that materials are in the right place at the right time. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Key duties include loading and unloading trucks, organizing storage areas, and assisting with inventory control. The ideal candidate possesses experience with material handling equipment, a strong understanding of warehouse logistics, and a keen eye for detail. Safety is our top priority; therefore, adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina, as significant lifting and repetitive motion will be involved. You will work closely with production and shipping departments to ensure a seamless flow of materials. We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role. Certification to operate specific equipment (e.g., forklift) is a plus. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and use of PPE. Strong understanding of logistics and inventory principles. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work flexible hours. Must be able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
