We are hiring a dedicated Warehouse Associate for our facility in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our distribution center, ensuring that inventory is managed efficiently and accurately. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. This position demands a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks. - Receive, unpack, and verify incoming merchandise against purchase orders.
- Store inventory in designated locations, maintaining organization and accuracy.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Ensure all workstations and the warehouse environment are kept clean and safe.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly regarding safety and the use of PPE.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety procedures and knowledge of proper PPE usage.
- Understanding of logistics operations and supply chain best practices.
