About
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include verifying order details, preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining meticulous records of all shipments. Strong attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the warehouse team to guarantee that all outgoing products are correctly packed and dispatched according to established procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Verify shipping information against customer orders.
- Generate and apply shipping labels accurately.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping logs and records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external carriers.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or administrative role preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to Lifting guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
