We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is crucial for our e-commerce logistics, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, accurately picking them for orders, and then carefully packing them for safe transit. You will use RF scanners and follow specific packing instructions to ensure customer satisfaction. A keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to Safety are essential for success in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, following specific packing guidelines.
- Select appropriate shipping materials, such as boxes, envelopes, and protective padding.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station and work area.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Contribute to meeting daily order fulfillment goals and support overall logistics flow.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or order fulfillment is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 35 pounds.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
