About
Responsibilities
Create detailed mechanical designs for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in vehicle installations.
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., Inventor, AutoCAD).
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and customer specifications.
Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
Provide technical guidance during commissioning and troubleshoot any design‑related issues.
Identify opportunities for design optimization to improve performance, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records of design changes and project progress.
Qualifications
HNC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in designing hydraulic and pneumatic systems for vehicles or industrial applications, including sheet metal and fabrication work.
Familiarity with electrical system integration is highly desirable.
Experience in the automotive industry.
Travel & Work Arrangements Fully site based, flexible working, some UK travel across key locations.
