Our team are currently looking to recruit an API Platform Lead to join the Global Development Engineering team based in Edinburgh city centre within Computershare Technology Services.

A role you will love
As our API Platform Lead , you will work within a highly skilled team in an Agile environment.
You will be at the forefront of our technology division, leading the development of platforms that enable a range of critical capabilities across multiple domains. This role combines technical leadership with strategic stakeholder management and innovation.
Some key responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of software engineering professionals, encouraging a collaborative and innovative environment where your team can design and architect advanced solutions.
Engage in extensive internal and external stakeholder management, aligning with business priorities and delivery timelines, ensuring that the platforms meet the needs and expectations of all parties involved.
Oversee the setup and maintenance of scalable, highly available, and disaster recovery-enabled platforms.
Create capabilities to enable the federated consumption of platform capabilities by other engineering teams, to standards and design patterns across the organisation.
Implement and uphold standard practices, design patterns and strategies across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
What will you bring to the role?
As our API Platform Lead, you will have extensive experience in building and maintaining software platforms that enable core domains, including Company, Customer/Investor, Product, Transactions, etc.
Other key skills required for the role include:
Deep understanding of API architecture, development frameworks, and technology stacks, ensuring the creation and maintenance of robust, scalable API solutions.
Advanced knowledge of cloud technologies, digital transformation strategies, and software development life cycles (SDLC).
Proven track record in successfully managing complex technical projects, delivering quality solutions on time and within budget.
Proven experience in leading software engineering teams, preferably in API development and management.
Experience in leading the broad development of API capabilities (e.g., design, standards, governance) across an engineering organisation.
