We are seeking a versatile and motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves a variety of tasks critical to the smooth operation of our distribution center, including order picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general warehouse upkeep. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic, committed to efficiency, accuracy, and maintaining a safe work environment. You will contribute directly to our logistics chain, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. This is a great opportunity to grow within a leading logistics provider.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation.
- Stock shelves and organize inventory in designated areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and work areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all required PPE diligently.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and audits.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support the team.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Proficiency in using hand scanners and basic warehouse technology.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE .
- Flexibility to work different shifts and tasks as needed.
