About
We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to become an integral part of our logistics operations in Des Moines, Iowa. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading goods, operating material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring that materials are in the correct locations. Accuracy and a strong work ethic are vital for success in this role. You will work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to support all aspects of warehouse operations, from receiving to dispatch. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace are expected. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees must adhere to strict safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves significant lifting, with requirements to lift items up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our logistics network.
- Move materials and goods within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and tracking.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Report any damages or discrepancies to supervision.
