Job Summary:
Our rapidly expanding logistics operations in Houston, Texas, are seeking a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator. This role is central to managing warehouse activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing inventory, coordinating shipments, managing warehouse staff, and maintaining optimal warehouse conditions. This is a leadership opportunity for individuals with a strong background in warehouse management and logistics. We emphasize a safe working environment, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols and the use of appropriate PPE.Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Manage and direct warehouse staff, providing guidance and training.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations and the proper use of PPE.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure accuracy through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and efficient logistics.
  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse work processes and procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Ensure the security and safety of the warehouse premises.
  • Manage equipment and assets, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Liaise with transportation providers to ensure efficient delivery schedules.
  • Ensure all lifting and handling of goods adheres to safety standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Coordinator, Supervisor, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management and logistics principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with inventory management and control.
  • Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
