We are looking for a reliable Material Handler to join our logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and organizing inventory. Your role is essential to maintaining the flow of goods within our facility and supporting production and shipping operations. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. The ideal candidate is physically fit, has a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and possesses excellent teamwork skills. - Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled according to safety procedures and company guidelines.
- Wear all required PPE, including safety shoes, vests, and gloves.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet physical demands.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Must be willing to wear and maintain PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
