We are seeking a diligent Inventory Clerk for our Indianapolis, Indiana distribution center. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our inventory control system, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our stock. Your responsibilities will include managing stock records, performing cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies. A meticulous approach and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics are essential. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for all warehouse stock.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Identify, research, and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Ensure proper put-away and organization of incoming inventory.
- Operate scanning equipment and inventory management software.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports for management.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE and using correct lifting methods.
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout and logistics for better inventory accessibility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems (e.g., WMS).
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics principles.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols, including PPE and safe lifting techniques, is mandatory.
