Almanac Bakery is hiring a creative and driven Pastry Lead to join our kitchen team

We're a passionate, tight-knit bakery where craft and quality come first. As our Pastry Lead, you'll take the reins on developing, executing, and maintaining our viennoiserie and pastry program and working closely with our team to create products we're all proud of.

What You'll Be Doing

• Start your day early. Production begins between 5:00 and 7:00 am to ensure everything is fresh and ready for opening.
• Develop and refine viennoiserie and other pastries from start to finish.
• Lead day-to-day pastry production and uphold visual and taste standards.
• Train, mentor, and support bakery staff.
• Plan and execute seasonal and specialty menu items.
• Track pastry inventory and help minimize waste.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation in a clean, organized kitchen.
• Collaborate with our team to share knowledge and elevate our offerings.
• Expect a physically active role. You'll be on your feet for long stretches, working in a warm kitchen, and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.

What You Bring

• You have 2+ years of pastry experience and formal pastry education.
• You're confident in the kitchen, with strong baking, decorating, and confectionery skills.
• You're organized, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• You're a natural mentor who enjoys helping others grow.
• You're committed to quality and passionate about your craft.
• Food Handler's Certificate required.
