About
Our Miami, Florida facility is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. This role is vital for optimizing stock levels, preventing discrepancies, and ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach are essential for success in this position. Your work directly impacts our ability to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, turnover, and aging.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Train new employees on inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze data to identify trends and recommend improvements in inventory management processes.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics chain through meticulous inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform some lifting of up to 30 lbs.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the use of required PPE.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
