As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets. Your accuracy and speed will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. This role requires you to work diligently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all orders are picked correctly and prepared for shipment. We emphasize a strong safety culture, and adherence to all safety guidelines is mandatory. - Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists.
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items and update inventory.
- Ensure correct items and quantities are selected for each order.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as stocking or repacking.
- Understand and support the logistics of order fulfillment.
- Meet performance standards for picking accuracy and productivity.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and pick lists.
- Basic math skills for counting and verification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and able to work independently.
- Must comply with all safety regulations and wear assigned PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
