Responsibilities:
- Unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately record received inventory into the inventory management system.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Coordinate with other warehouse departments to ensure timely processing of incoming stock.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Understand and implement logistics best practices for receiving operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse receiving role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and scanning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
