About
Join our warehouse team as a Receiving Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland! We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail to manage the incoming flow of goods into our facility. Your responsibilities will include accurately receiving shipments, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, verifying contents against purchase orders, and efficiently stocking received items. This role is fundamental to our logistics chain, ensuring that inventory is correctly accounted for and ready for processing. A steadfast commitment to safety, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected from all employees.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Inspect goods for any damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Document all incoming receipts into the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- May involve lifting and moving items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, and lift.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
