$32.14/hr on W2 Description: Work as a member of the Product Agility team within the Information Technology Division. Participate in a multi-year technology transformation program focused on enhancing the American Airlines IT organization through delivery resiliency, engineering excellence, and technology modernization. Coordinate with product teams and leaders to plan and deliver application documentation and onboarding support, and expand involvement across program efforts. What youll do: Build strong relationships with IT leaders, business partners, and team members across the company. Influence stakeholders on the transformation strategy by managing expectations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring alignment with goals. Develop and execute knowledge sharing plans, including curriculum, schedules, training materials, and milestones, and report on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. Engage project teams to gather documentation, plan, and support execution of knowledge sharing initiatives. Prepare project updates and presentations for leadership and facilitate content review during large stakeholder engagements. Apply effective change management to minimize resistance and maximize adoption of new processes, technologies, and strategies. Maintain communication channels that support a feedback process. Partner with finance teams to establish, maintain, and report on project spend. Use data to define baselines, measure outcomes, share insights, and prioritize delivery. Practice agility by continuously evaluating delivery to focus on highest-value drivers for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience:
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training. 13 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience. 13 years of experience managing and delivering mission-critical, high-availability IT development projects using structured project management and system development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience:
13 years of experience in Agile methods and mindset. 24 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience. 24 years of experience managing and delivering mission-critical IT development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Airline Industry experience:
Experience determining product-market fit and defining a go-to-market strategy. Familiarity with Agile product management tools. Experience leading or working within large enterprise transformation toward Agile and DevOps. Experience building training programs or curriculum. Deep product management acumen. Proven ability to manage internal and external resources and partners.
Skills, Licenses & Certifications:
Relevant certifications in Product Management/Product Delivery field. Strong knowledge of product domain, business model, constraints, regulations, and user experiences. Demonstrated ability to solve complex analytical problems and lead others in solving them. Willingness to take calculated risks. Ability to build and facilitate relationships at all levels of the organization. Self-driven with a natural aptitude for engaging employees across workgroups. Leadership skills: team-focused with high energy and a positive attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to engineering and non-technical audiences.
