In this critical role, you will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of mechanical building services systems. You'll play a key part in maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient environments across our client sites.

What will you deliver?
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on mechanical assets (e.g. HVAC, pumps, valves).
Conduct legionella control and monitoring activities.
Diagnose faults and carry out remedial works independently.
Maintain accurate records on CAFM systems (e.g. TotalMobile).
Supervise subcontractors and ensure safe systems of work, including use of Permits to Work.
Participate in emergency response and out‑of‑hours cover as part of a rota.
Ensure compliance with health & safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Maintain compliance with BS7671 standards for relevant works.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, contractors, and clients.

Who are we looking for? Essential
Previous experience in a similar role within a Facilities Management environment.
NVQ Level 2 or higher in Mechanical Engineering Services (City & Guilds or equivalent).
Valid UK Driving Licence.
Ability to obtain and maintain BPSS and CTC clearance (required for specific sites).
Strong fault‑finding, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with CAFM systems and maintenance documentation.
Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
Desirable (but not essential)
IPAF / PASMA certification.
Technical Appointments such as CP – Mechanical or Pressure Systems (CPMPS).
Experience working in secure or public sector environments.
