Job Summary:
Our Sacramento, California warehouse is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing logistics team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory levels, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory variances, implementing corrective actions, and managing stock integrity within our Warehouse Management System (WMS). The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse inventory procedures. Commitment to safety and process improvement is a key requirement.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
  • Maintain accurate inventory data within the WMS and related systems.
  • Analyze inventory performance data and identify root causes of issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy and reduce loss.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory items.
  • Uphold all safety regulations and ensure the correct use of PPE.
  • Prepare regular inventory reports for management review.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and inventory management techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with lifting and handling inventory items, up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
