Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Cincinnati, Ohio? We are hiring experienced professionals to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for the smooth flow of goods through our distribution center, contributing directly to our logistics success. You will be responsible for ensuring that all goods are handled safely and efficiently, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with loading and unloading trucks. A strong emphasis on safety is paramount; all operators must be proficient in operating various types of forklifts and follow all established safety guidelines. Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times. This position involves significant physical activity, including constant movement and the ability to lift moderate weight.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from storage areas and production areas.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, contributing to overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing PPE.
