Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring that we always have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time. This position requires a meticulous approach and a strong understanding of inventory management principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to optimize stock accuracy.
  • Manage and organize warehouse stock, ensuring proper placement and labeling.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements.
  • Monitor stock rotation (e.g., FIFO/LIFO) to prevent obsolescence.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper handling of materials and the use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and fulfillment teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory-related transactions.

Qualifications:
A proven track record in inventory control or a similar warehouse role is required. Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management techniques is essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, and working in a warehouse environment. Must demonstrate a commitment to safety and understand the importance of PPE in a logistics setting. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities are critical. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
