About
Our St. Louis facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and timely processing of goods. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically fit, and possesses a strong commitment to workplace Safety . You will be involved in various tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials, often requiring significant Lifting . Experience with warehouse equipment and a basic understanding of Logistics are beneficial. We emphasize the importance of using the correct PPE and following all safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated areas, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock management as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Support the overall Logistics process by ensuring materials are available where and when needed.
- Handle all materials with care, following guidelines for proper Lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow all Safety guidelines and wear required PPE .
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and Logistics is a plus.
