You will be instrumental in managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving schedules, and leading a team of dedicated warehouse associates. The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for upholding our stringent safety standards, implementing best practices in warehouse management, and optimizing resource allocation. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse logistics. We prioritize the well-being of our employees and mandate the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in warehouse supervision, demonstrate a commitment to operational excellence, and be adept at managing complex logistical challenges. This role involves significant responsibilities, including ensuring the proper handling of goods, managing dock operations, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your contributions will be vital to our company's success in the dynamic logistics industry. The ability to handle demanding tasks, including manual Dexterity and significant lifting, will be expected.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Train, mentor, and manage warehouse staff.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain relationships with carriers and suppliers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
