About
Our growing logistics operation in Raleigh, North Carolina, is looking for a motivated Receiving Clerk to join our dedicated team. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a vital role in the initial intake of all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely processing. You will be responsible for unloading trucks, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, documenting all received items, and preparing them for put-away. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Building positive relationships with carriers and internal teams is key. Key duties include:
- Unloading incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspecting received goods for damage, defects, or shortages.
- Documenting all discrepancies and reporting them to the appropriate personnel.
- Accurately entering receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Labeling and organizing received goods for storage or further processing.
- Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhering to all company Safety protocols and procedures.
- Proper use of required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Assisting with other warehouse duties as assigned.
