About
We are looking for motivated and efficient Order Pickers to join our busy distribution center in Durham, North Carolina. This is a fast-paced role where you will be directly responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers, contributing directly to the success of our logistics operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipping, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are stored correctly.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any damaged products or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards for order picking.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Proficiency in operating RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety procedures meticulously.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics processes.
