The ERP Projects Business Analyst possesses strong knowledge of project management and related business processes (projects ,customers, inventory & finance), along with a deep understanding of ERP system capabilities (both functional and technical aspects) to deliver solutions that meet Kindeva’s business objectives as a CDMO leader. A drive for continuous improvement and optimization is paramount.
This individual will work closely with our Project Management, Sales, and Finance teams to understand business processes and objectives and deliver fit‑for‑purpose system solutions based on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) platform. This role will have primary responsibility for Project Management and Accounting (PMA) processes, including project setup, costing, billing, and integration with related functions. The analyst will be expected to lead requirements gathering and fit‑gap analysis, configure and optimize PMA modules, and support the business in configuration and use. The role requires ensuring collaboration & flow between projects and supporting functions such as customer management, inventory control, procurement, and financial reporting. The analyst will also facilitate process optimization, drive adoption of best practices, and evaluate new features, ISV add‑ons, and SaaS integrations to enhance project management capabilities. Additional duties include developing dashboards and analytical reports for project performance, supporting system upgrades and user training, and providing expertise and support to all Kindeva sites to ensure consistent processes and system usage globally. This is a global role supporting all Kindeva sites and will report to the ERP Functional Director.
Strong relationship‑building skills with business partners and stakeholders are required. Developing trust and dependability for delivered solutions in an ever‑changing business climate is critical for success.
Role Responsibilities
Requirement gathering-
working collaboratively and proactively across departments to understand business processes, pain points and gather & document requirements to deliver solutions within D365 ERP.
Continuous Improvement
-Identify areas for optimization and continuous improvement and help drive change. Also strive for system enabled global business process harmonization across sites.
Improvements may include assessing and implementing 3rd party applications or tools to augment deficiencies within the D365 ERP system.
D365 ERP Capabilities
Deep and broad knowledge of system functionality and the capabilities available to meet our current and future needs. Ability to demonstrate system features to our partners along with documenting business justification and value derived from the proposed improvements. Must also keep current with upcoming release features that could be leveraged by our business functions.
Technical skills are required to support system configuration, data extract and analysis, providing data mapping documents for our partners as well as documenting solution design documentation required by our ERP development teams to translate the requirements into the technical solution. Having a solid understanding of the ERP architecture (data structures, workflows, data, APIs, import/export methods) is critical for the role. This is essential to being nimble in a dynamic business environment.
ERP configuration expertise-
efficiently configure system functionality to support business expansion. Address the business growth that includes adding new products, new processes, new locations or sites or new features.
Functional/Technical Laison
- liaison with ERP development teams with creation of functional solution specification to support extensions, bolt‑on products, interfaces, workflows, security roles and data mapping.
BI Reporting
- support work related to the creation of new reports and dashboard. Provide data mapping and system use insights for BI team to create reports and dashboards to support business insights and KPI metrics. Provide testing to verify the accuracy of the information reported.
Ad‑hoc reports
or “one‑off” reports needed to assess the data to promote decision making and help assess business data and system usage. These are often time‑sensitive inquiries that don’t require the SDLC process.
ERP Training
- deliver user training and for our super users and business SMEs along with training materials.
Business acumen
- deep understanding of business processes across various functional areas (PMA, RTR, AP/AR, GL)
System Testing
- in collaboration with our business partners, create test plans, scenarios and scripts to execute testing cycles. Also help with the coordination activities for user acceptance testing (UAT) for major updates to the system.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years experience as a Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
D365 F&O functional expertise within PMA and exposure to sales and finance modules
In-depth knowledge of D365 ERP, including both experience working within the domain modules and a sufficient technical skill set required to support this BA function.
Experience integrating with boundary applications such as Salesforce, CRM, OCR, Customer portals and ISV add ons.
Experience managing small to medium size projects with 5-10 team members.
Strong knowledge of full lifecycle SDLC methods and tools.
Excellent communication, planning and organization skills.
Experience implementing or supporting package software systems.
Logical thinking skills and methodical approach to work.
Strong team player with the ability to develop effective working relationships across organizations.
Additional experience with EAM would also be a preference.
Results oriented, display persistence when facing complex challenges and apply problem solving skills along with tools to overcome obstacles.
