About

Traditional credit systems are built for people who already have money, creating barriers for those who need capital most. Over 1.4 billion people lack access to credit due to requirements for credit history, collateral, and costly underwriting. For example, a vendor in Lagos earns cash daily but cannot prove steady income, and a Colombian nurse with perfect informal repayment history remains invisible to banks. Even those with savings are often excluded, making serving the global majority unprofitable for traditional institutions. We created Credit to address these issues. Instead of expensive verification, we use trust-building: loans start small and can grow to USD $1,000+. In Argentina, where inflation causes banks to fail, over 20,000 people use Credit for essentials like groceries, medicine, and transportation, calling it "la salvación del mes"—the month's salvation. Our undercollateralized lending at scale has resulted in default rates approaching zero, and 140,000 people are waiting for access.Backed by Paradigm and Nascent, we're building a profitable system serving those whom banks cannot. Our vision is an instantaneous, universal, algorithmic credit system. The technology exists, and the demand is massive. Join us in making credit a human right, not a privilege.About the roleWe're seeking a frontend engineer to lead the development of our World MiniApp, a mobile-rendered website within the World app. Expertise in Next.js, TypeScript, React, and Tailwind is essential. While speed is important, we value quality, rigor, and optimization equally.
