Business Overview:
Fidelity Canada Institutional (FCI) is focused on developing solutions to serve the investment needs of Canadian institutional investors including corporate and public plans, endowments, foundations, and other institutions as well as international investors. Our goal is to deliver original insight, tailored access, and a diverse product lineup. The team is comprised of sales, client management, consultant relations, and products & marketing professionals.
Purpose of the Role
The Client Transitions Manager is responsible for overseeing institutional client transitions across Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Corporate, Endowment, Foundation, Sub Fund, and Sub‑Advised accounts. Acting as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders, the role ensures smooth transitions, account restructuring, and ongoing enhancements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, the ability to integrate input from subject matter experts and the confidence to make informed decisions through cross‑functional collaboration. This individual will lead discussions, consolidate feedback, and drive outcomes to ensure transitions progress efficiently and decisively.
Institutional Client Transitions
Lead and manage institutional client transitions to ensure seamless experiences for clients and business partners.
Create and execute internal and client‑facing project plans.
Manage account set‑up and structures in collaboration with Legal, Finance, Compliance, Fund Treasury, Fund Accounting, Client Service, Portfolio Managers, and other stakeholders.
Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, custodians, consultants, record keepers, and transition managers.
Develop processes and procedures for new servicing requirements.
Prepare transition summaries for all fundings and hand off relationships to Client Relationship Managers
Account Restructuring & Enhancements
Lead implementation of pool and separate account restructuring/enhancements (e.g., rebalancing, benchmark changes, PM changes, sub‑portfolio changes).
Create and execute project plans where no dedicated Project Manager is assigned.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate account setup and structures.
Ongoing Account Maintenance
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance certificates, coordinating review and approval.
Oversee annual policy mailings and tracking for institutional clients.
Provide back‑up support for ongoing cash flows across pooled funds, separate accounts, record keepers, sub‑funds, and sub‑advised accounts.
Identify and implement process improvements for onboarding, cash flows, and other initiatives.
Projects & System Enhancements
Partner with IS to prioritize and implement system enhancements that improve team efficiency.
Represent the team in cross-functional projects, driving change and acting as spokesperson.
Communicate enhancements to institutional teams and stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in financial services.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Canadian Securities Course completion is an asset.
Strong understanding of the Canadian financial services industry, products, and institutional landscape.
Solid knowledge of institutional investment products.
Project management and/or operational experience.
Experience navigating within large organizations.
Proven ability to communicate with senior and sophisticated institutional clients.
Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.

For this role, your total rewards include:
Base Salary : A competitive annual range of $105,000 to $135,000 based on your experience and qualifications.
Performance Bonus : Eligible for a discretionary bonus that rewards your contributions and results.
RRSP Contribution : After 6 months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution—no employee matching required.
