About the Role
We are seeking a
Hydrogen & Mechanical Engineer
to support the design, simulation, and integration of
hydrogen-powered UAV systems
. This role combines mechanical engineering expertise with hydrogen technologies, supporting system development across fuel cell, battery, propulsion, and avionics subsystems. You will work within a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering next-generation hydrogen mobility platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer
mechanical subsystems
for hydrogen-powered UAV platforms - Develop hydrogen
storage, piping, pressure vessel, and thermal management systems - Perform
system and subsystem simulations
, including:
-Fuel cell subsystem
-Battery and energy storage subsystem
-Propulsion subsystem
-Avionics and communications (mechanical and thermal integration)
- Conduct
structural, thermal, and mechanical analysis
to support design decisions - Generate CAD models, mechanical layouts, and engineering drawings
- Support
prototype development, testing, and system integration - Participate in
risk assessments and safety reviews
(HAZOP, FMEA) - Ensure compliance with applicable
mechanical, aerospace, and hydrogen standards - Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design review materials
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical Engineering
or related discipline - 5+ years of experience in mechanical systems engineering
- Experience with
pressure systems, thermal systems, or energy platforms - Knowledge of
hydrogen systems and safety considerations - Experience supporting
engineering simulations - Proficiency with CAD and analysis tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalent)
- Strong documentation and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in
UAV, aerospace, hydrogen mobility, or advanced energy systems - Familiarity with
fuel cells, batteries, or hybrid propulsion systems - Exposure to
model-based or system-level simulation
