Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages. This role involves preparing drinks, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food service, cash handling, and customer engagement within a dynamic setting.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks following standardized recipes.
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
  • Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained during food preparation and service.
  • Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours.
  • Follow food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
  • Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
