Programmer/Software Developer – Java

DESCRIPTION: Nortak Software is currently seeking Java Programmer/Software Developers with the following qualifications:

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have at least ten (10) years professional work experience within the last fifteen (15) years working as a Programmer/Analyst

• Minimum ten (10) of years professional work experience within the last fifteen (15) years working as a Java Developer performing requirements analysis, Java web application design, and Java web application development

• Minimum eight (8) years of professional work experience within the last twelve (12) years developing web applications with J2EE (JAVA J2 Enterprise Edition) as the platform using application servers such as WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss and Tomcat within a distributed application environment

• Minimum ten (10) years of professional work experience within the last fifteen (15) years using SQL (Structured Query Language) to perform CRUD (create/read/update/delete) operations on a RDBMS (relational database management system) such as Oracle, DB2

• minimum seven (7) years of professional work experience within the last ten (10) years developing web applications using the Spring framework version 3 or greater

• Minimum ten (10) years of professional work experience within the last fifteen (15) years developing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and/or RESTful web services in Java

• Minimum eight (8) years of professional work experience within the last twelve (12) years developing Java web applications using Hibernate and/or JPA (Java Persistence API) for Object/Relational Mapping and database persistence

• Must be highly proficient in one of Canada's official languages (English and/or French)

• Valid Government of Canada Secret Level II security clearance granted by CSP/PSPC

RATED CRITERIA:

• Demonstrated professional work experience developing web applications with J2EE (JAVA J2 Enterprise Edition) as the platform using application servers such as Web-sphere, WebLogic, JBoss and Tomcat

• Demonstrated professional work experience developing web applications using the MVC pattern (Model View Controller) using Spring framework version 3 or greater

• Demonstrated professional work experience developing web applications using Hibernate and/or JPA for Object/Relational Mapping and database persistence

• Demonstrated professional work experience developing applications using XML and/or XSD technology within a web application

• Demonstrated professional work experience developing web applications using the Treasury Board WET (Web Experience Toolkit) for accessibility, usability and interoperability standards

• Demonstrated professional work experience using git as a Version Control System when developing applications

• Demonstrated professional work experience participating in Agile sprints as part of a collaborative Agile development team

• Demonstrated professional development work experience using Spring Boot

LOCATION OF WORK:

• Hybrid: Ottawa / Gatineau (NCR) and remote
